Launched in 2011 the Essential Radiator and Pipe Cover range was introduced as an alternative to the Free Flow cover.
Aesthetically pleasing with lighter gauge material and a single piece construction in each cover.
The modular design allows covers to be built up easily onsite to enclose radiator runs.
Available with standard vent – anti-ligature options are available too.
Access doors and cut outs are also available on all covers.
Finished in powder coated RAL 9910 Hipca White as standard, alternative colours are available
An alternative powder coated polyester epoxy resin in Eggshell White leatherette finish is also available.
Whilst all of this range is ideal for self-installation – we offer an onsite survey/measurement service together with various installation packages.
Specification
ESSENTIAL covers are manufactured from 1.2mm steel and the grilles, on the front and top of the casing, and have been designed to allow free air flow through the covers to achieve an even surface temperature.
The ESSENTIAL has a hinged access door on the side panel, either or both ends as required, for easy access to valves and controls within the cover.
Also available with anti-ligature grilles for added security in high risk or mental health applications.
Covers conform to BS3525:1977 and BS EN442:1997 regulations, i.e. to surface temperature of 43°C.
Generally, fixings will be external or internal screw-to-wall lugs for easy removal of the guards in the future (to allow for cleaning etc.).
The radiator covers can be fitted with a screw operated hinged access door to the control valve and an access cover or port to the air vent.
All covers are pre-treated before receiving a specialist electrostatically applied white gloss ‘powder coating’ epoxy polyester providing a pleasing and durable finish – no further painting is required.
Covers are also available in ‘Anti-microbial’ paint finish to help combat HAI – and other RAL colours available on request.
VARIAPLAN Essential Pipe covers are manufactured in ‘matching’ perforated steel and are designed to complete the installation and allow the pipes to provide maximum ‘useful’ heating output.
